Kid's Corner

The Moose Lake Public Library has prided itself over the years in providing resources and programs for our community's youth. We continue this tradition today with a great children's section and several really entertaining and educational children's programs. The children's section of our library offers hundreds of entertaining and educational books and audio tapes. Nothing aides a child's intellectual development more then reading. Give your child a lifetime of enjoyment by getting them interested in reading at a young age, and we have a great selection to help you out.

Over the years, hundreds of our community's youth have attended our weekly children's story time. This program is held every Friday from 10:30 to 11:00 AM. Children of all ages are welcome and it is a great chance for your little ones to gather with other children and enjoy some great books that are read aloud. We are very proud of our youth summer reading program. This program is for children ages pre-school to eighth grade. All are encouraged to join in the fun and activities to help enhance summer reading. We also offer special programs for families several times a year. These programs are geared towards fun for the family while emphasizing library use and the importance of reading.

We are have happy to announce that we have recently purchased a new computer just for use by children and pre-teens. This computer has a special "child" account that will display a computer desktop full of really fun and educational programs geared towards children. It has two sets of headphones and is located by our "Children's Corner" away from our other general use computers.
